Bannockburn Police Blotter: Driving With Suspended License, Theft, and More

The following arrest information was supplied by the Bannockburn Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Registration and License Infractions

Domonique Henderson, 28, of Kenosha was arrested Nov. 5 for illegal transportation of alcohol, driving while license suspended and driving while registration suspended, according to Bannockburn Police reports.

Police spotted Henderson heading southbound on Waukegan Road in the vicinity of Half Day Road, according to the report. A check showed the Wisconsin registration was suspended. After Henderson said her license was active, a further check showed it was not.

After taking Henderson into custody, police noticed a cup in the car with a red liquid smelling of alcohol as well as a water bottle with the same odor, according to the report. Both substances tested positive for alcohol. She was released on her own recognizance and will appear in Lake County Court at 10:30 a.m. Dec. 4.

Syndana Martin, 33, of Chicago was arrested Thursday for improper use of registration, driving while license suspended, driving without insurance and failure to obtain a valid registration, according to Bannockburn Police reports.

According to the report, Martin was driving westbound on Half Day Road approaching Waukegan Road in a Buick sedan. A check of the registration showed it should have been a Chrysler van.

Martin told police she purchased the car at an auction in Indiana and was not given title, was stopped once before by Illinois State Police and now used a different plate, according to the report. Police could find no record of a previous citation. She said she took the plate from a van she no longer owns.

Martin also said her license was currently valid which it was not, according to the report. She was released on her own recognizance and will appear in Lake County Court at 10:30 a.m. Dec. 4, according to the report.

Theft

A leather jacket and its contents including a wallet, currency and credit cards, other identification and car keys were taken from a locker at the Midtown Athletic Club Wednesday, according to Bannockburn Police reports.

The victim reported he had placed the jacket and its contents in a secure locker at 6:45 p.m. and at 9:05 p.m. he returned to find the locker unlocked and the contents missing, according to the report. The car was still in the lot. The investigation is continuing.
