Bannockburn Police Blotter: Man Arrested for DUI

The following arrest information was supplied by the Bannockburn Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

John Dennhardt, 27, of Lake Bluff was arrested Sunday for driving under the influence of alcohol and speeding, according to Bannockburn Police reports

Police clocked Dennhardt driving his vehicle 57 miles per hour in a 40-mile-per hour zone on Half Day Road near Lakewood Drive, according to the report. Police smelled a strong odor of alcohol coming from the vehicle. 

After police asked Dennhardt to exit the vehicle, a strong odor of alcohol was noticed coming from his person and his eyes were red, according to the report. He failed field sobriety tests and refused to take a breath test.

Dennhardt was released on his own recognizance and will appear in Lake County Court at 9 a.m. Nov. 28 in Waukegan, according to the report.
