Bannockburn Police Blotter: Police Arrest Driver for DUI and More

DUI 

Allison Chin, 51, of Deerfield was arrested Saturday for driving under the influence, speeding and improper lane usage, according to Bannockburn Police reports

Police spotted Chin crisscrossing southbound Telegraph Road near Wilmot Road swerving between the white fog line and onto the shoulder while driving 36 miles per hour in a 25-mile-per hour zone, according to the report.

After stopping Chin, police smelled a strong odor of alcohol and observed her moving slowly. Chin failed field sobriety tests and tested a blood alcohol level in excess of .08 percent, according to the report. She was released on her own recognizance and will appear in Lake County Court at 9 a.m. Dec. 12 in Waukegan.

Two laptop computers and an I-Pod were reported stolen from a dormitory at Trinity International University Nov. 15, according to Bannockburn Police Reports. The investigation is continuing.
