Bannockburn Police Blotter: Police Arrest Man for DUI, Cannabis Possession

DUI, Cannabis Possession
Guillermo Gonzalez, 36, of Chicago was arrested Dec. 13 for driving under the influence (drugs), possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving with an expired driver’s license, according to Bannockburn Police reports.
Police received a report of a vehicle parked at 2101 Waukegan Road for over an hour with a person, later determined to be Gonzalez, inside, according to the report. Upon approaching Gonzalez, police noticed an odor of cannabis coming from the car. After searching the automobile, police found a green substance which tested positive for cannabis.

After detaining Gonzalez for possession of cannabis, police learned his driver’s license had expired, according to the report. He also told police the vehicle belonged to a friend who was working nearby. After talking to the friend, police learned Gonzalez had been driving the vehicle.
He was released on bond and will appear in Lake County Court at 9 a.m. Jan. 23 in Waukegan.

Driver’s License Infraction
Richard Browne, 28, of Grayslake was arrested Dec. 13 for driving with a suspended driver’s license, driving an uninsured motor vehicle and speeding, according to Bannockburn Police reports.
Police clocked Browne traveling westbound on Half Day Road near Bridle Lane at 53 miles per hour in a 40-mile-per-hour zone, according to the report. After stopping Browne, police learned his driver’s license was suspended. He was released on bond and will appear in Lake County Court at 10:30 a.m. Jan. 22 in Park City.
