Burglars Rob Unfinished Deerfield Home

The following arrest information was supplied by the Deerfield Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Burglary 

Burglars broke into a home estimated to be 75 percent complete in the 1500 block of Oakwood Place Dec. 6 taking furnaces, the air conditioning compressor unit and a saw used by the builders, according to Deerfield Police reports. Police interviewed people in the area and the investigation is ongoing. 

Fraud Attempt

An attempted fraud was aborted Dec. 4 by a manager Red Roof Inn, according to Deerfield Police reports. A $3,155.92 order for a television, computer and other electronic goods was set for delivery to the motel between Dec. 4 and 16. When the errant confirmation of the order arrived, personnel at the motel cancelled it and alerted police.

Carmen Fabian, 28, of North Chicago was arrested Dec. 4 for driving with a suspended license and driving with an expired registration, according to Deerfield Police reports. After stopping Fabian for the expired registration, police discovered her license was suspended. She was released on bond and will appear in Lake County Court at 3 p.m. Jan. 7 in Park City.
