Car Drives Into Lake Cook Building

No one was injured.

The following is from the Village of Northbrook:

On Tuesday, May 13 at approximately 9:30 a.m., Fire and Police responded to a report of a car that drove into a building in the 1800 block of Lake Cook Road.

Upon arrival, crews found a single vehicle that had crashed through the front windows of the building. Police secured the area while Fire crews stabilized the vehicle to prevent it from falling into the basement of the building.

No injuries were reported and members of the Building department were called to ensure that the structural integrity of the building was not compromised.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
