Police responded to two car burglaries in the parking lot of Deerfield’s on Sept. 10.
One driver from Evanston told officers that he found a window shattered and several pieces of luggage had been swiped from inside his car. One of the stolen backpacks included his 22-year-old son’s books for school and a new MP3 player.
Meanwhile, a woman, who was in town from Pennsylvania for a wedding, also reported her rental car burglarized around the same time.
The 57-year-old female said her window was smashed and several electronic items, including a flat-screen monitor and two cameras, were stolen.
Police notified Hyatt personnel about the incidents.
