Citizen Complaint Leads to Drug Bust
The following arrest information was supplied by the Deerfield Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
David Horwitch, 20, of Northbrook was arrested July 31 for possession of cannabis and possession of drug equipment, according to Deerfield Police reports.
Police received a call from a citizen that two people were smoking marijuana in a car in the 1000 block of Lampton Lane, according to the report. An officer saw a vehicle matching the description, stopped it and noticed a strong odor of cannabis coming from an open window.
Police also observed a plastic bag on the driver’s lap and a glass water bong on the driver’s seat, according to the report. Horwitch was released on bond and will appear in Lake County Court at 3 p.m. August 20 in Park City.
