Citizen Complaints Lead to Two DUI Arrests

Marcin Dymanus, 34, of Deerfield was arrested Sept. 20 for driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane usage and failure to signal when required, according to Deerfield Police reports. 

After receiving a report of a man “wobbling” into a store in the vicinity of Lake Cook and Waukegan Roads, police observed Dymanus get into his vehicle, drive off and then drift to the left of the lane he was occupying on Waukegan Road near Kates Road. After stopping him, police detected an odor of alcohol on his breath. He failed a field sobriety test and refused to give a breath sample. He was released on bond and will appear in Lake County Court at 9 a.m. Oct. 9. 

Marcelino Medina, 39, of Chicago was arrested Sept. 22 for driving under the influence of alcohol, driving without a valid license and driving an uninsured motor vehicle, according to Deerfield Police reports. 

After receiving a report Medina may be inebriated at a business in the vicinity of Lake Cook and Waukegan Roads, police observed him, spoke with him and smelled a strong odor of alcohol coming from his breath. He had a blood alcohol level of .220. He was released on bond and is scheduled to appear in Lake County Court.
