Erratic Driving Leads to DUI Arrest

Julie Olnas, 24, of Lake Bluff was arrested Friday for driving under the influence of alcohol, disobeying a traffic control device and driving with one headlight, according to Bannockburn Police reports.
Police observed Olnas in the left turn lane of Half Day Road making a southbound turn onto Waukegan Road “completely over the while stop line,” according to the report. She disobeyed the red turn arrow and was seen weaving in her lane.

Olnas failed field sobriety tests and had a blood alcohol level of .138, according to the report. She was released on bond and will appear in Lake County Court at 9 a.m. May 8 in Waukegan.

Jamie Sartin, 34, of Highwood was arrested Saturday for driving while license suspended, driving with an obstructed windshield and driving an uninsured motor vehicle, according to Bannockburn Police reports.
Police observed Sartin driving eastbound on Half Day Rod approaching Waukegan Road with a “large orange object hanging from the rearview mirror,” according to the report. After stopping her, police discovered she did not have a valid Illinois license. She was released on bond and will appear in Lake County Court at 10:30 a.m. June 4 in Park City.
