Fight Erupts on Basketball Court

The following arrest information was supplied by the Deerfield Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Fight on Basketball Court 

A “large fight” broke out on “the basketball court” in the 400 block of Lake Cook Road April 12, according to Deerfield Police reports. 

Though police were called, witnesses refused to tell the police what happened and a victim refused to provide his name or the name of the person who struck him, according to the report. No arrests were made.

Theft 

Two disc brakes were taken April 8 from a driveway in front of a home in the 400 block of Longfellow Avenue, according to Deerfield Police reports. The victim placed six of the brakes at the end of the driveway and noticed two missing at 11:30 a.m. April 8.

Driver’s License Infractions

 

Jakub Benbenek, 30, of Chicago was arrested April 5 for driving with a suspended license, according to Deerfield Police reports. An officer driving behind Benbenek near the intersection of Lake Cook and Waukegan Roads did a random check and learned Benbenek’s license was suspended. He was released on bond and will appear in Lake County Court at 1:30 p.m. May 7 in Park City.
