Lake County Residents Needed to Join Sheriff’s Reserve Deputy Unit

Applications will be accepted until Oct. 1.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Reserve Deputy Unit is a dedicated group of volunteers who assist the Sheriff’s Office sworn personnel on an emergency basis.

Reserves may be called upon for a variety of reasons, including such things as directing traffic, searching for a missing person, or supplementing security for events such as the Lake County Fair. 

Reserves are uniformed civilians that are specially trained by the Sheriff’s Office to perform the duties required of them. A Reserve Deputy must have a flexible schedule and be able to respond immediately to a request for service.

 A prospective reserve deputy must meet the requirements listed below.

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must be a resident of Lake County, Illinois
  • Must not have any felony convictions
  • Must pass an extensive background check
  • Must possess a valid Illinois driver's license

Anyone interested in joining the Reserve Deputy Unit can download an application at www.reservedeputy.com or contact Lt. John Crilly for further information at (847) 377-7023. Applications must be sent to the attention of Lt. Crilly at 1301 N. Milwaukee Avenue, Libertyville, Illinois 60048. Applications are due by Oct. 1.

Tried toRead More keep much of old structure, but Igor's rehab and lack of upkeep, made it impossible. couldn't even keep floors, all warped from water and walls full of mold. City did nothing to stop Igor from combining two distinct properties. I am having a champagne lunch Wed. June 19, 11:30 to 1:30. Would love for you to come and see the house. Annette - my first statement was "beautiful house" so I have no qualms with your outcome -Read More however, this is a re-do, re-creation not the original house. But good luck! I am sure you will find a buyer quickly!
