Man Attacks Girlfriend, Gets Arrested
The following arrest information was supplied by the Deerfield Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
Domestic Battery
Marko Antic, 24 of Deerfield was arrested Oct. 9 for domestic battery, criminal damage to property and interference with reporting a domestic violence act, according to Deerfield Police reports.
Responding to a complaint of domestic violence in the vicinity of Wilmot Road and Garand Drive, police saw the victim walking toward the officer “crying and stating her lip is bleeding with Antic walking 10 yards behind,” according to the report.

Based on statements made by both parties, they were in the victim’s car, they argued, Antic got angry, broke a car window and struck the victim, according to the report. A bond of $5,000 was set in Lake County court. Antic was scheduled to appear for a pretrial today in Waukegan.

Maura Rojas-Reyes, 37, of Deerfield was arrested Oct. 6 for driving without a valid license and speeding, according to Deerfield Police reports. After stopping her for driving 50 miles per hour in a 35-mile per hour zone on Waukegan Road near Barclay Road, police learned she did not have a license. She was released on bond and will appear in Lake County Court Nov. 5 in Park City.
Takashi Furutani, 45, of Highland Park was arrested Oct. 5 for driving with a suspended license and speeding, according to Deerfield Police reports. After police clocked Furutani driving 47 miles per hour in a 30-mile-per-hour zone on Deerfield Road near Carriage Way, they learned his license was suspended. He was released on bond and will appear in Lake County Court at 1:30 p.m. Nov. 5 in Park City.
