Man Lights Pipe as Police Watch

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 

William Crehan, 27, of Forest Park was arrested April 2 for possession of drug paraphernalia and driving with an expired license, according to Deerfield Police reports. 

An officer in an unmarked car saw Crehan “attempting to light a glass pipe commonly used for smoking cannabis” near the intersection of Lake Cook Road and Birchwood Avenue, according to the report. After stopping Crehan, police learned his driver’s license was expired. He was released on bond and will appear in Lake County Court at 3 p.m. May 21 in Park City..

Driving Without a License 

Tomas Yescas-Blando, 36, of Mundelein was arrested April 4 for driving while license suspended and disobeying a traffic control device, according to Deerfield Police reports

Police observed Yescas-Blando driving through a red light going east on Lake Cook Road at did now slow his speed. Upon checking, police also learned his driver’s license was suspended. He was released on bond and will appear in Lake County Court at 3 p.m. May 21 in Park City.
