Catherine Amari, 50, of Highwood was arrested Saturday for driving under the influence of alcohol and speeding, according to Bannockburn police reports.
Police spotted Amari Driving northbound in the 2000 block of Waukegan Road clocking her at 63 miles per hour in a 45-mile per hour zone, according to the report. After stopping her, police detected a strong odor of alcohol coming from her breath. She failed field sobriety tests and tested for a blood alcohol level of .118. She was released on bond and will appear in Lake County Court at 9 a.m. April 10 in Waukegan.
