Police Blotter: Burglaries of Unlocked Cars Reported

A duffle bag containing approximately $700 worth of merchandise was taken May 24 from an unlocked car parked near Brickyard Park in the 300 block of Pfingston Road, according to . 

The victim told police the duffle bag containing shoes, prescription sunglasses, a jacket and other merchandise was taken from the car between 5 and 9 p.m. while he was participating in activities at the park, according to the report. 

A wallet containing $1,000 cash and credit cards was taken between 9:30 and 11:15 a.m. May 12 from the console of an unlocked automobile parked at St. Gregory’s Episcopal Church, according to Deerfield Police reports. The victim was watching a baseball game near the church.

A digital camera and LED light worth approximately $300 was taken from an unlocked car parked in the owner’s driveway between 2:30 and 3:30 p.m. May 21, according to Deerfield Police reports.
