Police Blotter: Driving Under the Influence

Driving Under the Influence 

Dzmitry Komsa, 29, of Arlington Heights was arrested by Deerfield Police Oct. 29 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol according to reports. 

Police stopped the car Komsa was driving near the intersection of Waukegan and Lake Cook Roads at approximately 2 a.m. Police said Komsa failed a field sobriety test and refused to take a breath test at the Deerfield Police Station. He was also given tickets for driving an uninsured vehicle and improper lane usage.

Komsa posted a $3,000 bond and was released from the Deerfield Police Station. He will appear in Lake County Criminal Court at 9 a.m. Nov. 23 in Waukegan.

Barbara Rudniki, 52, of Lake Bluff was stopped by Deerfield Police at approximately 2:50 a.m. Oct. 30 when police said she was observed operating a motor vehicle in an erratic manner near the intersection of Waukegan Road and Osterman Ave according to Deerfield Police reports. 

After Rudniki allegedly failed a field sobriety test she was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and taken to the Deerfield Police Station. 

Rudniki agreed to take a breath test. Police said her blood alcohol level was recorded at .129. She was released on a $3,000 bond and will appear in Lake County Criminal Court at 9 a.m. on Nov. 16. She was also cited for improper lane usage.
