Police Blotter: Driving Under the Influence, Retail Theft

Driving Under the Influence (Narcotics)
Emily Marie Marzano, 20, of Mount Prospect was arrested by Deerfield Police Nov. 8 near the intersection of Waukegan and Lake Cook Roads for allegedly driving under the influence of narcotics according to Deerfield Police reports.
According to the police report, Marzano was allegedly driving erratically when police stopped her. An officer reportedly smelled cannabis according to the report. The officer wrote in the report Marzano and her passenger, Andrew McGrath, 25, of Highland Park, admitted to smoking cannabis but allegedly said none was left.

Marzano was arrested for driving under the influence (narcotics) and released on a $3,000 bond. She is scheduled to appear in Lake County Criminal Court at 9 a.m. today in Waukegan.
McGrath, 25, of Highland Park, was allegedly cited under a local ordinance for possession of drug paraphernalia after police allegedly found equipment according to the report.

Retail Theft
Rosanne Novak, 77, of Chicago was allegedly charged with retail theft under a local ordinance for taking gift cards and other items from Whole Foods valued at $87.05 on Nov. 9 according to Deerfield Police Reports.
