Driving While Using Handheld Cell Phone
Maresa Galeana, 40, of Wheeling was arrested April 23 for driving while talking on a hand held cellular telephone in a construction zone and driving without a license, according to .
The officer saw Galeana driving southbound on Waukegan Road in the vicinity of Chestnut with a cellular telephone by her ear, according to the report. The officer began following her and she finally stopped the car near the Edens Spur of the Tri State Tollway.

After checking, the officer learned Galeana did not have a valid driver’s license. She was released on bond and will appear in Lake County Criminal Court at 1:30 p.m. June 5 in Park City.

Robin Wald, 58, of Deerfield was arrested April 22 for retail theft from Whole Foods, according to Deerfield Police reports.
According to the report, police were called to the store after Whole Foods security personnel observed Wald taking items from the shelf and putting them into her purse. She then left the store and was confronted by store security personnel. The police were then called.
Wald will appear in Lake County Criminal Court at 1:30 p.m. June 6 in Park City.
