Police Blotter: Drunken Driving, Suspended License Charges

The following incidents were reported by the Deerfield Police Department.

Drunken Driving Arrest

Landom Winburn, 32, of Sante Fe, TX, was charged with driving under the influence on April 5 after officers spotted him driving erratically. Authorities said Winburn was drifting over the center line when they saw his vehicle near Waukegan and Deerfield roads. When police activated their emergency lights, Winburn eventually pulled into the Residence Inn and parked at the hotel. Officers said they immediately smelled alcohol on Winburn, who underwent a sobriety test before he was charged. His court date is May 4.

Suspended License Charges

Police pulled over a vehicle along Deerfield Road on April 7 after noticing the car’s registration light was not working. Maria Rodriguez-Catalan, 21, of Highwood, handed officers a Mexican identification card, according to the police report. Catalan was arrested for driving without a valid license. Her court date is May 19.

On April 9, officers saw Ross Weinger disobey a traffic control device at Deerbrook East Drive and Lake Cook Road. When police pulled over his vehicle, they discovered that Weinger, a 24-year-old from Northbrook, was driving with an expired registration and a suspended license. He was arrested and charged with both offenses. His court date is May 19.
