"The following arrest information was supplied by the Deerfield Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction."

Battery

Zoila Rodriguez, 43, of North Chicago was arrested earlier this month for battery after allegedly punching a co worker at Whitehall, according to reports.

According to the report, Rodriguez and a fellow worker got into an argument in the laundry room where the accused allegedly pushed a laundry cart into the victim’s thigh and punched her in the face.

When police arrived they found the victim holding an ice pack on her face and statements by both the victim and Rodriquez translated from Spanish by the Whitehall concierge, according to the report. Neither person writes English.

Though Whitehall officials supposedly asked Rodriguez to go home, she returned at police request to answer questions, which was done through a translator, according to the report. Rodriguez was then placed under arrest.

Rodriguez was released on a recognizance bond and will appear in Lake County Criminal Court at 10:30 a.m. April 19.

Driving with Suspended License

Brian Bonner, 27, of Skokie was arrested April 1 for operating a vehicle with suspended registration and driving with a suspended license, according to Deerfield Police reports.

Police spotted Bonner driving eastbound on Lake Cook Road in the vicinity of Waukegan Road when a random check of the license plates on the car he was driving indicated they were suspended for failure to insure the vehicle, according to the report. His license was suspended for the same reason.

When police stopped Bonner, he allegedly handed them a state identification card, a valid insurance card and a ticket. He explained he had until April 12 to pay the ticket.
