Police Blotter: Jewelry Stolen From Hotel Room

The following incidents were reported by the Deerfield Police Department.

Police were called to the  hotel on July 11 in regards to a reported theft. A hotel guest told officers her diamond necklace valued at $200 was missing.

The woman said the jewelry was on the bathroom counter when she left the hotel room for about 20 minutes. When she returned, the item was missing. A housekeeper told police that the room was in disarray when she entered and that she never saw the necklace.

On July 12 police were dispatched to  to investigate a locker room theft. The gym customer told officers he locked his belongings in a locker before he went to work out. When he returned, the lock had been cut off and a $199 laser cut car key for his 2004 Chrysler was missing.

When the man approached his vehicle in the parking lot, he noticed a suspicious male nearby holding car keys and went back inside the gym to notify staff members.

On July 15, police responded to 300 N. Waukegan Rd. in regards to a car burglary. The driver said her wallet was stolen from the vehicle's glove compartment. The employee couldn’t remember whether she locked her vehicle.
