Police Blotter: Jewelry Stolen From Two Homes

The Deerfield Police Department provided the following report.

The dining room window of a home on the 1400 block of Hazel Avenue was pried open between 11 a.m. and 11 p.m. Sept. 24. Three purses, gold and diamond earrings, a silver and gold necklace, a gold necklace with an onyx pendant, onyx earrings, a diamond engagement ring and a diamond pendant necklace were stolen.

A window connecting to a backyard shed was pried open at a house in the 800 block of Appletree Lane between 7:45 and about 9 p.m. Sept. 24. According to police, the bedroom was ransacked and two diamond wedding bands, a gold necklace, diamond stud earrings and a silver necklace were stolen from a jewelry box. Two used condoms were tied up and left near the door.
