Police Blotter: Man Arrested After Fight
The following arrest information was supplied by the Deerfield Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
Battery
Joshua Nieto, 22, of Highwood was arrested for simple battery Dec. 12 after a fight in the Rosebud parking lot on Waukegan Road in Deerfield according to reports.
According to the report, the parking valet saw two men fighting in the parking lot. The valet went to assist the victim who had a bloody mouth while Nieto allegedly fled on foot.

Another witness heard a “loud verbal argument” in the parking lot and saw Nieto allegedly punch the victim in the face, according to the report.
After police learned of Nieto’s identity from the victim and a witness, police contacted Nieto who agreed to turn himself in. When he did that he was arrested, according to the report. He was freed after posting a $120 bond and will appear in Lake County Court at 1:30 p.m. Jan. 19 in Park City.

Criminal Trespass
Monica Tsinagini, 36, of Palatine was arrested for criminal trespass Dec. 14 after unexpectedly arriving at the home of her boyfriend and refusing to leave, according to Deerfield Police reports.
Police said Tsinagini arrived unexpectedly at the Deerfield home of her boyfriend at 10:30 p.m. where he claimed she allegedly “became hysterical” when he “tried to break off the relationship” and she refused to leave, according to the report.
Tsinagini tried to reenter the house and police escorted her out, the report said. She then allegedly charged an officer “with arms raised in defiance.” She was “escorted” to the ground, according to the report, placed in hand cuffs, arrested and transported to the Deerfield Police Station.
The report also indicated Tsinagini escaped from the hand cuffs while in the back seat of the police car and another pair was placed on her wrists. She was released on a non-recognizance bond. She will appear in Lake County Court at 8:45 a.m. Jan. 19 in Waukegan.
