Police Blotter: Drug Paraphernalia Arrest Made in Deerfield

David Lazar, 23, of Northbrook was arrested Jan. 6 for possession of drug paraphernalia and speeding, according to Deerfield Police reports.
After stopping Lazar for driving 52 miles per hour in a 40-mile-per-hour zone in the vicinity of Lake Cook and Deerlake Roads, police smelled a “moderate odor” of cannabis, according to the report. After police asked a third time, Lazar admitted he had a pipe in the car. Police found a glass pipe in the car. Lazar was released on bond and will appear in Lake County Court at 3 p.m. Feb. 19 in Park City.
