Police Blotter: Police Arrest Three for DUI

The following arrest information was supplied by the Deerfield Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

DUI

Reagan Hogan, 33, of Deerfield was arrested Oct. 12 for driving under the influence of alcohol, illegal transportation of alcohol, speeding and driving without insurance, according to Deerfield Police Reports.

Police observed Hogan driving 50 miles per hour in the 40-mile-per-hour zone in the 400 block of Waukegan Road when he was stopped, according to the report. Police smelled a strong odor of alcohol and saw Hogan could not open the car’s glove compartment. He also swayed as he got out of the car.

Hogan failed field sobriety tests, according to the report. Police also discovered an open bottle of vodka which was half empty in the front seat covered by a shirt. Hogan was released on a $300 bond and will appear in Lake County Court at 9 a.m. Nov. 16 in Waukegan.

Julian Ospina, 25, of Addison was arrested Oct. 13 for driving under the influence of alcohol, driving without insurance and no registration, according to Deerfield police reports.

According to the report, police spotted Ospina drifting from the center of the lane toward the curb in the vicinity of Lake Cook Road and Discover Way. After stopping him, police smelled the strong odor of alcohol. He failed field sobriety tests. He was released on a $3,000 bond and will appear in Lake County Court at 9 a.m. Nov. 14 in Waukegan.

David Lesser, 43, of Winnetka, was arrested Oct. 13 for driving under the influence of alcohol and speeding, according to Deerfield Police reports.

Police clocked Lesser driving 46 miles per hour in a 30-mile-per hour zone in the vicinity of Robert York Avenue and Deerfield Road, according to the report. He was also observed swerving in his lane. After stopping him, police smelled a strong odor of alcohol on his breath.

Lesser failed field sobriety tests. He was released on bond and will appear in Lake County Court at 9 a.m. Nov. 14 in Waukegan.

No Valid Driver’s License

Jasiel Calleja-Perez, 30, of Northbrook was arrested for driving without a driver’s license, driving an uninsured vehicle and operating a vehicle with a suspended registration, according to Deerfield Police reports. She was released on $200 bond and will appear in Lake County Court at 3 p.m. Nov. 6 in Park City.

Baltazar Arce, 28, of Evanston was arrested Oct. 10 for driving without a valid driver’s license and no rear registration light, according to Deerfield Police reports. Calleja-Perez was released on bond and will appear in Lake County Court at 3 p.m. Nov. 20 in Park City.
