Police Blotter: Possession of Cannabis

The following arrest information was supplied by the Deerfield Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Michael Saydak, 23, of Deerfield was arrested Sept. 13 for possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to Deerfield Police reports. 

Police spotted Saydak driving southbound on Robert York Road south of Deerfield Road with only one headlight illuminated, according to the report. After stopping Saydak, police smelled the aroma of cannabis coming from the car. 

When police asked about the odor, Saydak said, “I do have marijuana (in the car),” according to the report. He also told the officer where to find it as well as letting police know there was a smoking pipe.

Saydak will appear in Lake County Court at 8:45 a.m. October 15 in Waukegan, according to the report.
