Police Blotter: Thief Nabs Gym Bag from Locker

The following incidents were reported by the Deerfield Police Department from Jan. 23 to 28.

THEFT:

On Jan. 27 officers were called to in response to an alleged theft. The victim told authorities he had locked his gym bag and wallet in a locker that morning. When he came back about an hour later he said someone had stolen the lock off the locker and all the contents inside. Officers recovered the victim’s jacket in another locker but his Gucci wallet was still missing. After calling several credit card companies, the victim told police at least seven or eight purchases had been made on his credit cards since the robbery. The largest being $41.68 at the Dominick’s in Bannockburn.

DRUNK DRIVING:

Police pulled over 25-year-old Aaron Citron on Jan. 28 for driving with an expired registration. Officers say the Highland Park resident smelled like alcohol and had bloodshot eyes. Citron failed a sobriety test and was charged with a DUI. His court date is set for Feb. 23.

On Jan. 23. an officer says he watched a car on Lake Cook Road almost hit the curb. When police pulled 45-year-old Alla Foltushanskaya over, they say she smelled like alcohol as well. The Deerfield resident told officers she had not been drinking but failed a sobriety test and was charged with a DUI. Her court date is set for Feb. 16.
