Police Blotter: Two Arrested for Drivers’ License Infractions

Driving With Suspended License, Broken Tail Light 

Alexis Tortorella, 19, of Riverwoods was arrested Feb. 14 for driving with a suspended license and a rear tail light which was not illuminated, according to . 

According to the report, Tortorella was driving in the vicinity of Waukegan and Deerfield Roads when a police officer spotted her with a broken taillight. The officer checked the plates on the computer in the squad car and determined she allegedly had a suspended license.

When Tortorella was informed by the officer her license was suspended, she replied it “should be valid at this time.” According to the report, it was suspended Jan. 5 for speeding in Missouri. 

Tortorella posted a $1,500 recognizance bond and will appear in Lake County Criminal Court at 9 a.m. March 15 in Park City.

Driving With Suspended License, Failure to Signal 

Deamontae Jackson, 18, of Aurora was arrested Feb. 14 for driving with a suspended license and failure to signal a turn, according to Deerfield Police reports. 

When police spotted Jackson failing to signal while making a right turn southbound onto Waukegan Road from Lake Cook Road, the officer checked his license plates in his computer with the Illinois Secretary of State and determined Jackson’s license was suspended. 

Jackson is free on a $1,500 bond and will appear in Lake County Criminal Court at 9 a.m. April 5 in Park City. 

Burglary Warrant 

Sean Johnson, 25, of Deerfield was arrested Feb. 15 on an outstanding warrant for alleged burglary, according to Deerfield Police reports. 

Police received a call about alleged domestic trouble at a residence on Camille Avenue, according to the report. On the way to the property, they learned the Lake County Sheriff’s Police had an outstanding warrant against Johnson for burglary.

After police found Johnson allegedly sleeping at the home, they arrested him and took him to the Lake County Jail.
