Police Blotter: Two Arrested for Drivers’ License Infractions

No Valid License 

Llanira Mis, 31, of Deerfield was arrested Jan. 24 for driving without a valid Illinois driver’s license, according to . 

Mis was one of two drivers involved in an accident in the vicinity of Deerfield Road and Kipling Place. While investigating the collision, police discovered Mis allegedly did not have a valid Illinois driver’s license, according to the report.

Before Mis was taken to Highland Park Hospital for injuries allegedly sustained in the accident, police told her she would have to come to the Police Station to resolve the matter of a driver’s license, according to the report. 

Mis arrived at the Deerfield Police Station Jan. 25, was processed and released on a $150 bond. She will appear in Lake County Criminal Court at 10:30 a.m. Feb. 16 in Park City.

Driving With Suspended License 

Jaroslaw Bartosik, 44, of Northbrook was arrested Jan. 24 for driving with a suspended driver’s license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and operating a vehicle without a headlight, according to Deerfield Police reports. 

Police saw the SUV Bartosik was driving near the intersection of Lake Cook and Waukegan Roads and noticed one of its headlights allegedly not shining, according to the report. When police questioned Bartosik, he gave them an allegedly expired insurance card and a traffic ticket in lieu of a license. 

After checking with the Illinois Secretary of State, police determined Bartosik’s license was suspended, according to the report. He was arrested and taken to the Deerfield police station. 

Bartosik posted the ten percent cash portion of a $2,000 bond. He will appear in Lake County Criminal Court at 9 a.m. March 1 in Park City.
