Broken Tail Light Leads to Arrest
Alexis Tortorella, 19, of Deerfield was arrested Jan. 21 by Deerfield Police for driving with an invalid license, according to .
Police spotted Tortorella driving a Jeep Cherokee in the vicinity of Deerfield and Wilmot Roads with an allegedly broken taillight, according to the report. Tortorella explained to the officer she was aware of the broken taillight but not of the invalid license, according to the report.

Tortorella was released on a $1,500 bond. She will appear in Lake County Criminal Court at 9 a.m. Feb. 16 in Park City.

Juan Vasquez, 23, of Highland Park was arrested Jan. 21 by Deerfield Police for not having a valid driver’s license, according to Deerfield Police reports.
Police observed Vasquez driving a gray Buick near the intersection of Deerfield and Waukegan Roads without license plates on the car, according to the report. Vasquez explained he had just purchased the vehicle, produced the paperwork and showed it to the police.
Upon checking, police determined Vasquez did not have a valid driver’s license. He was arrested and released on $1,500 bond.
