Police Blotter: Two Arrested for Driving With Suspended License

Driving With Suspended License 

Vince Manzella, 25, of Highwood was arrested Feb. 21 for driving with a suspended driver’s license, according to . 

Police spotted Manzella driving a gray Chevrolet in the vicinity of Waukegan and Lake Cook Roads and made a spot computer check of his registration, according to the report. The Secretary of State computer showed Manzella’s license was suspended for financial reasons.

Manzella was released on $2,000 bond and will appear in Lake County Criminal Court at 9 a.m. March 15 in Park City.

Deyby Loya, 23, of Chicago was arrested for driving with a suspended license and driving an uninsured vehicle after he was stopped for speeding, according to Deerfield Police Reports. 

Police observed Loya driving at a high rate of speed in the near the intersection of Waukegan Road and Longfellow Avenue. After checking the speed on radar, the officer determined he was going 47 m.p.h. in a 30 m.p.h. zone, according to the report. 

Loya told police he had no license after he was stopped. Police then checked with the Illinois Secretary of State and determined Loya had a suspended license. 

Loya was released on $2,000 bond and will appear in Lake County Criminal Court at 9 a.m. April 5 in Park City.
