Police Blotter: Two Arrested for License Violations

Driving With No License 

Ruth Morales, 22, of Palatine was arrested March 3 for driving without a license and with an expired sticker, according to reports. 

Morales was spotted by police driving westbound on Deerfield Road in the vicinity of Castlewood Drive with a license plate which expired in January, according to the report. When she was stopped, she allegedly told police she had no driver’s license.

Morales was released on $150 bond and will appear in Lake County Criminal Court April 19 in Park City, according to the report. 

Driving With Suspended License

Abdulla Bin Saif, 25, of Skokie, was arrested March 4 for driving while his license was suspended, according to Deerfield Police reports. 

According to the report, Saif was driving eastbound on Lake Cook Road near Deerlake Road when a check with the Illinois Secretary of State indicated his license is suspended. Saif explained his driving privileges were allegedly restored Feb. 9 when a new license was issued because of a misspelling of his name. After further investigation, police determined Saif’s license was in fact suspended, according to the report. 

Saif posted a $1,500 bond and will appear in Lake County Criminal Court on April 19 in Park City.
