Police Make Four Drug Arrests in Three Days

The following arrest information was supplied by the Deerfield Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Konrad Kurzynowski, 20, of Northbrook was arrested July 10 for possession of a controlled substance (a Class 4 Felony), possession of cannabis and no registration light on his vehicle, according to Deerfield Police reports.

Police noticed Kurzynowski did not have a working license plate light and stopped him near the intersection of Waukegan and Kates Roads, according to the report. After the stop, police noticed a strong odor of cannabis. After searching the vehicle, police found a glass jar containing a leafy substance and yellow pills. Police learned the pills were a controlled substance.

Andrew Ring, 23, of Glencoe was arrested July 8 for possession of cannabis and using a hand held cell phone while driving in a construction zone, according to Deerfield Police reports. After observing Ring talking on a cell phone while driving, police stopped him, smelling a strong odor of cannabis. Police found the cannabis after a search. He was released on bond and will appear in Lake County Court at 1:30 p.m. August 6 in Park City.

[Redacted], 20, of Deerfield was arrested July 8 for possession of cannabis and possession of a fictitious driver’s license, according to Deerfield Police reports. Police found [Redacted] and a companion near Walden School. His backpack contained a mason jar with a green leafy substance. He also had a fictitious driver’s license. He was released on bond and will appear in Lake County Court at 8:45 a.m. August 8 in Waukegan.

Elana Copeland, 20, of Northbrook was arrested July 8 for possession of drug paraphernalia, according to Deerfield Police reports. Police found Copeland and a companion near Walden School. She had a “one hitter” in her possession. She was released on bond and will appear in Lake County Court at 3 p.m. August 20 in Park City.
