Police Make Traffic Stop, Discover Gun

The following arrest information was supplied by the Bannockburn Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Jesus Guerrero, 23, of University Place, WA, was arrested Saturday for unlawful possession of a firearm and disobeying a traffic control device, according to Bannockburn Police reports

Police observed Guerrero driving on Telegraph Road where he brought his car to a stop beyond the white stop line at both Wilmot Road and Duffy Lane. After making the stop, police saw a black plastic case on the floor board which was believed to be a gun case. Guerrero admitted to having a firearm and ammunition with him. He was released on bond and will appear in Lake County Court at 10:30 a.m. July 2 in Park City.
