Red Roof Inn Ruckus Leads to Weapons Charge

Unlawful Use of Weapon
Virginia Oliver, 48, of Chicago was arrested Jan. 6 for unlawful use of a weapon after an incident with a desk clerk at the Red Roof Inn, according to Deerfield Police reports.
After getting a complaint from the desk clerk, police went to the Red Roof Inn to talk to Oliver, according to the report. Before going, police learned she had previous arrests for weapons. Police found an open bladed fold out knife in her possession with a four-inch blade and a four-inch handle. She was released on bond and is scheduled to appear in Cook County Court at 10:30 a.m. Jan., 22 in Skokie.

Driver’s License Infractions and More
Antoine Edwards, 33, of Milwaukee was arrested Jan. 10 for driving with a suspended license and no valid registration, according to Deerfield Police reports. After police stopped Edwards because of no registration, they discovered his license was suspended. He was released on bond and is scheduled to appear in Lake County Court at 1:30 p.m. Feb. 18 in Park City.
