Police Crack Burglary Ring
Brian Krapf, 19, Adrian Arceo, 18, and Daniel Awe, 18, all of Darien, were charged with one felony count each Monday of burglary to a motor vehicle, according to Deerfield Police Sgt. Bill Annen.
Deerfield Police and other local law enforcement agencies had been investigatinga string of automobile burglaries including 10 in Deerfield as well as others in Highland Park, according to Annen.
Teen Gets 16 Years For Sexual Assault
Charged as an adult, 17-year-old Ja’Juan A. Junior of Palatine pleaded guilty to aggravated criminal sexual assault and received a 16-year prison sentence Tuesday, the Daily Herald reports.
Junior was 16 years old at the time of the crime, the Daily Herald reports, and attacked and raped a 43-year-old Palatine woman who was jogging near the 1400 block of Evergreen Drive on June 30, 2011.
About two weeks later another Palatine woman was attacked about 2.5 miles from the location of the first crime, Patch previously reported. According to the police, Junior attacked a 34-year-old woman walking in the 700 block of East Pennsylvania Avenue and attempted to rape her.
Vehicle Crashes Through Irsay Family Building
A man drove his car through a building once owned by Indianapolis Colts icon Robert Irsay on Tuesday around 12:20 a.m.
The driver, who was heading southbound on Laramie Avenue, continued going straight instead of veering left onto Lincoln Avenue, police said. The person’s vehicle went onto the sidewalk and then struck – and destroyed – a park bench. The vehicle continued moving forward until it made contact with a tree, several bushes and a structural support beam.
Krisann Henderson, 42, of Arlington Heights, who worked as a Certified Nurse Assistant since 1987, told the Cook County Sheriff's office she stole jewelry from her clients for the last five years.
In January of this year, a man reported that several pieces of his wife’s jewelry were missing but his wife had been at the hospital during that time and could not speak to officers about the report, according to a Cook County Sheriff press release.

Police: Man Holding Hammer Tries To Break Into Home
A 19-year-old Huntley man is in custody after police found him holding a hammer outside a Lake in the Hills home early Sept. 19 and arrested him for attempting to break into the home.
Daniel W. Bockenhauer, of 11606 Lori Lane in Huntley, now faces several charges in connection with the arrest, including: attempt criminal trespass to residence, criminal trespass to real property and two counts of disorderly conduct, according to a Lake in the Hills Police Department press release.
Teacher Charged In Theft At School
Consolidated School District 158 officials could not comment on the arrest of a Huntley High School teacher charged with a theft at the school, but police released additional information about her Sept. 14 arrest.
Kimberlee Hoffmann, 42, of 1004 Kerim Court, Marengo, is charged with theft of lost or mislaid property in connection with a theft at the high school, 13719 Harmony Road, on Sept. 5.
Huntley Police Deputy Chief Todd Fulton said the victim placed her iPod Touch and Motorola Atrix cell phone down while in the bathroom at the school and forgot to pick up the items when she left. During an investigation, police learned , police said.
