Speeding Leads to DUI Arrest

The following arrest information was supplied by the Deerfield Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

DUI 

Ryan Berski, 24, of Chicago was arrested Sept. 7 for driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding and driving with an expired registration, according to Deerfield Police reports

After clocking Berski driving 56 miles per hour in a 35-mile per hour zone on Lake Cook Road in Deerfield, police caught up with him near the intersection of Lake Cook and Lee Roads, according to the report. After the stop, police noticed a strong odor of alcohol. Berski failed a field sobriety test and had a blood alcohol level of .137. He was released on bond and will appear in Lake County Court at 9 a.m. Oct. 9 in Waukegan.

Drivers License Infractions and More 

Laura Puga, 35, of Highland Park was arrested Sept. 8 for driving without a license, driving an uninsured motor vehicle and no rear registration light, according to Deerfield Police reports. After stopping her for the equipment violation, police discovered she did not have a license. She was released on bond and will appear in Lake County Court Oct. 1 in Park City.

Haydee Garcia, 50, of Gurnee was arrested Sept. 24 for driving while license revoked, according to Deerfield Police reports. After spotting Garcia driving near the intersection of Lake Cook and Waukegan Roads, police did a random check and learned her license was revoked. She was released on bond and will appear in Lake County Court at 3 p.m. Oct. 1 in Park City.
