Thief Punches Officer at Whole Foods
The following incident was reported by the Deerfield Police Department on March 9.
A loss prevention officer was attacked by a thief March 9 at the in Deerfield.
According to police, the supermarket employee spotted 26-year-old Katherine Anderson in the bakery section sneaking items into her bag.
When the officer approached Anderson and grabbed her arm to escort her to the loss prevention office he says she started to yell that she was being assaulted, dropped her grocery bags, and punched him in the nose.

The employee called 9-1-1 and continued to follow the Arlington Heights woman until Deerfield police arrived.
Anderson was arrested and charged.
