Victim reported in stable condition.

(Update at 3:45 p.m.)—A 43-year-old Lake Bluff woman who sustained injuries in an incident with a northbound Metra train Monday is expected to survive, according to Lake Bluff Deputy Police Chief David Belmonte.

The victim remains in stable condition at Condell Hospital in Libertyville, according to Belmonte. Police are still unable to release her name because family members have not been reached.

Police continue to investigate whether the incident was accidental or intentional. “It (the incident) was not in a pedestrian crossing area,” Belmonte said. “It was in a remote area south of the viaduct.”
