Board Plans Discussion of BYOB Law

Village Board of Trustees will consider BYOB ordinance, commercial filming restrictions and more at Monday's meeting.

A report examining a possible ordinance to allow patrons of Deerfield restaurants to bring along their own wine will be discussed by the Village Board of Trustees at their regularly scheduled meeting at 7:30 p.m. Monday at Village Hall.

A report from the Village’s staff examining possible bring your own bottle ideas to be developed into an ordinance is one of several things on Monday’s agenda including regulations on commercial filming and placing a Deerfield Police officer fulltime at Deerfield High School.

The BYOB proposal evolved from a discussion at a Committee of the Whole meeting in May. It will allow one bottle of wine per two patrons which must be opened by restaurant personnel to complement a meal, according to a report on the Village website.
