Could a Medical Marijuana Dispensary Be Coming to Deerfield?
Pharmacists have expressed interest in opening a location in the village.
A trio of pharmacists are interested in teaming up to open a medical marijuana dispensary in Deerfield, according to an article in the Deerfield Review. Two of the men are partners in Mark Drugs, which is a compounding pharmacy with a location in Deerfield.
A new Illinois law allows for 60 dispensaries statewide, the article states, three of which can be in Lake County. Deerfield’s Village Board needs to finalize a zoning ordinance regulating dispensaries, which will come before the board again as early as next month.
