Deerfield Accepting Bids for Road Improvement Project

NOTICE TO BIDDERS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed bids for the Village of Deerfield Lake Eleanor Drive and Heather Road Infrastructure Improvement Project will be accepted until 11:00 AM on Friday March 15, 2013 at the office of the Village Manager, Village of Deerfield, 850 Waukegan Road, Deerfield, Illinois 60015.

It is at this time the bid packages will be opened and publicly read. The proposed project consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment and related items necessary to perform the work, within the Village of Deerfield, as specified in the contract documents. The work includes the installation of approximately 2800 linear feet of DI watermain, the installation of 300 linear feet of RCP storm sewer, and the removal and replacement of 8100 square yards of pavement and all other associated items.

No bidder may withdraw his/her bid for 45 days. Bids shall be submitted on forms furnished by the Village of Deerfield and in a sealed envelope plainly marked “Village of Deerfield Lake Eleanor Drive and Heather Road Infrastructure Improvement Project.”

If a bidder wishes to qualify his/her bid or make special stipulations thereto, these shall be submitted in the same sealed envelope as the bid.  No bid will be considered unless the bidder submits duly executed Affidavit of Noncollusion, Certificate of Nondiscrimination, Certification of Prequalification with the Illinois Department of Transportation, Certificate of Compliance with the State of Illinois Prevailing Wage Rate as furnished by the Village of Deerfield, and completed copies of bid forms including all alternates.

After analysis of all bids, the award will be made by the Mayor and Board of Trustees. The Village reserves the right to waive formalities, to reject any and all bids, and to accept the bid deemed to be the most favorable to the interest of the Village.
