Deerfield Reaches Agreement with ComEd on 2008 Lawsuit

The village sued the utility company for providing unreliable service

ComEd is still under fire for its performance in this summer’s storms. But now the company is working out issues with Deerfield from two years ago.

The Village of Deerfield has reached a tentative settlement agreement in its 2008 lawsuit against ComEd for providing unreliable electric service.

The Village Board is expected to review the agreement in an executive session and vote on the agreement during the Village Board meeting Sept. 6. Village officials would not comment on the settlement until after it is reviewed by the Village Board.
