Deerfield Road Lane Closures Coming This Week
Concrete work Thursday and Friday will force lanes to be closed but the road will remain open.
Portions of Deerfield Road in the vicinity of Waukegan Road will be limited to one lane in each direction during part of the day Thursday and Friday to finish the project by North Shore Gas to repair valves, according to Village Project Engineer John Guccione.
The pavement restoration will take place between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. both days. “The road will not be closed completely, but will have lane closures,” Guccione said.
Concrete will be poured Thursday, according to Guccione. The effort should last approximately three hours. The crew will return Friday to finish the labor. “They will plate the concrete and return the next day with surface mix,” he said.
