Early Voting Starts Today

Voters can cast ballots at West Deerfield Township office up to election day.

Early voting for the March 20 primary election began in Deerfield today and will continue through March 15, according to Lake County Clerk Willard Helander.

Deerfield residents can vote at the between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 9 a.m. through 2 p.m. on Saturday. After early voting closes at 4:30 p.m. March 15, in person absentee balloting will take place at the same location during the same times March 16, 17 and 19.

As of 11:45 a.m. today, eight people had voted at the Township office including . Morrison is one of two candidates on the Democratic ballot running to succeed retiring .

“I’m glad early voting has started,” Morrison said. The only vote she disclosed was the one for her.

Morrison is opposed in the primary by . The winner will be pitted against Highland Park pediatrician Arie Friedman.
