Energy Program Letters To Be Mailed This Week

If residents do not want to participate, they must affirmatively let the Village know.

Residents and business owners who are eligible to participate in the will be receiving letters from the Village this week explaining their options and what they must to do take part, according to a news release.

Any individual who does not already have a program other than Commonwealth Edison or a business using less than a specified amount of power can participate. After receiving the letter, people must affirmatively indicate they do not want to participate or they will be enrolled.

Choices are to participate in the new program that will save the average customer approximately 25 percent from the existing bill, find a separate provider or remain with ComEd.

If a person or business already has an alternate provided, they can switch to the Village’s program by contacting MC Squared, the concern offering the power to eight communities including Deerfield, at 888-808-7731 or by email at NorthShore@MC2energysercvices.com to make arrangements.

One bill for the entire program will be sent to each customer by Com Ed.
