Former Woodfire Building Returns to Board Agenda

Village Board of Trustees will also consider the signage for a proposed new business.

Renovation of the building which once housed the Woodfire Restaurant will be part of the agenda when Deerfield’s Village Board of Trustees meets at 7:30 p.m. Monday at Village Hall.

The Board will consider a recommendation from the Plan Commission to demolish and rebuild the portion of 360-380 Lake Cook Road building which once housed Woodfire while making less extensive improvements to the portion housing the Charles Ifergan Salon and a dry cleaner.

“It will have a seamless look,” Deerfield Planner Kathy LeVeque said in October of the property when done. The Plan Commission gave it a unanimous recommendation Sept. 26.

Also on the agenda will be an appeal from the denial of a sign by the Appearance Review Commission for the proposed CosmoProf, a supplier of cosmetology equipment, at 405 Lake Cook Road.

The complete agenda can be found on the Village website.
