What professional accomplishments are you most proud of?
When I was the managing partner of a real estate company, I found that you could both provide people with good housing while still providing investors a good return on their investment. Doing the right thing makes sense both socially as well as economically.

What are the three most important issues facing the West Deerfield Township Board of Trustees?

  • Providing assistance to our residents in their time of need.
  • Fostering innovative solutions through financial grants to third party providers.
  • Coordinating with other governmental units to provide our residents the assistance they need in the most cost effective manner.

How do you distinguish yourself from your opponent(s)?
My experience with the budgeting process in a corporate environment, as well as my commitment for public service makes me uniquely qualified to serve as a West Deerfield Township Trustee.

What is your professional background?
I spent over 20 years in the software development industry initially as a programmer, then as a project manager on large systems development. Concurrently, I was also the managing partner of several limited partnerships which owned and managed apartment buildings in the New York city area.

Today, I do private investments formyself. If there is one lesson I can take away from my last 10 years of experience with investments, it is that you must thoroughly research your subject, and then have the conviction and patience to see it through to success.

What is your educational background?
I have an MBA with a concentration in Finance from Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia, and a BS in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Arizona, in Tucson, Arizona.

What other information would you like to share?
I see serving as a Trustee as a way to give back to the community in which I live. One of the most important functions a Trustee performs is in helping to fund projects that enrich our community and help our residents get the assistance they need. I feel that how we deal with those with the least power defines us as a community.
