Lane Closure Coming to Waukegan Road
Southbound lane will be closed from Hazel Avenue to Deerfield Road for construction until Nov. 3.
The right southbound lane of Waukegan Road between Hazel Avenue and just north of Deerfield Road will close for construction today through Nov. 3 a part of the renovation project for the Deerfield Public Library, according to library Community Outreach Coordinator Jody Wilson.
“It’s hoped that the work will progress quickly and inconvenience will be kept to a minimum,” Wilson said in an email. She also indicated the entire project is on schedule. It is projected to reopen this summer.
The library closed in June for a complete overhaul. It is currently housed in a temporary location at Cadwell Corners.
